Perfect fit and works great. Easy to clean. Will last a lifetime.

I was initially sent a blow-off tube with lots of stuff stuck to it: glue and blue paper. The dimensions were wrong too. It was advertised as being 1/2" inner diameter, when in fact it is 1/2" outer diameter. The inner diameter is smaller. (The height and width are correct as advertised.)I contacted MoreBeer about this, and to their credit they replaced the sticky tube with a new, clean one. But the new one has the same dimensions.I thought about how this could be. I imagine it might be a rounding error from metric dimensions. I wish MoreBeer would correct how it is advertised.Functionally, it's good. The stainless steel used is strong. It can be puahed into a 6.5 stopper, and the stopper+tube fit nicely in a regular glass carboy.If you want a steel blow-off tube, I'd recommend it over the narrower one. Just understand and expect that the inner diameter is less than 1/2".

I have always questioned the sanitation of blow off tubes..with this I simply placed my carboy bung in hot water until the center hole was very flexible, slit the blowoff cane onto it, and set a water pitcher with solution next to carboy. Worked perfectly.

Hated using my 1/2 in Silicone Hosing as it didn't keep shape very well. I primarily use FE331 (6.5gal Italian glass threaded neck carboy) for fermentation and the cane works, but it is just a little too short and skinny for convenience. It works perfectly as intended, but where the cane ends is right next to the carboy right near the top of a quart canning jar.
