TONS of hops. Excellent recipe. Will brew again!

I made the mistake of not purchasing a yeast with this kit, so I was forced to use redstar bread yeast. I formed what looked like a sourdough bread loaf in the the carboy then exploded into fermentation of awesomness. This was by far the best mistake Ive ever made. If perhaps you forget to buy a desired yeast, go ahead and use redstar bread yeast and it will still come out phenominal.

Great recipe for a hoppy IPA

This is the 3rd time brewing this recipe. All my friends love this one and keep asking for me to brew it again (and again.......and again.......etc.) !!

Great flavor, third brew but by far the best I have made.

I really enjoy the taste of this IPA. It's hoppy without being too hoppy as some IPAs can bee. I would have given it 5 stars, but for one minor detail. After following the instruction explicitly, the finished beer came out significantly over carbonated. Not to the extend of being explosively so, but over carbonated none the less. I have a 1.75 Gal Keg which got its fair share. and the rest went into 12oz bottles. After conditioning the keg was all foam and had to be decompressed several times to be useable. The bottles were good to go at first, but as time goes on not so much. At this time they have a significant head and while waiting for the head to subside, the bottle needs to be placed in the sink where it acts like a slow motion volcano. Like I said, however, It's a tasty brew, but the recipe could use some adjustment on the conditioning.

Extract kit: This one is a favorite of my IPA and Pale Ale drinkers (and me so far). I have brewed this one four times and will keep it on rotation. The first two were straight recipe.The third time I boiled for 90 minutes instead of 60 minutes. It is in the ferm now and I will add two oz of Chinook instead of 1 oz to the dry hop to bring out the hop a bit more. This one will also be bottled.I have another extract kit in the drawer and that one will be my first kegged beer. Yeah, just starting to put together a kegging/dispensing system. Don't know yet what I will do with the hops for the keg batch, will wait and see how the batch in ferm tastes.

good stuff. i can't put a spin on all the nuances, order, create, drink, happy.

This is my 6th extract kit from MoreBeer and my first IPA and it is hands down the best beer I've made yet! The taste of this beer is amazing, it's not overwhelmingly hoppy for people who don't love IPAs but still packs a huge punch of flavor. The smell is unreal, sometimes I'm worried about my beer getting warm because it feels like I've been smelling it for 5 minutes. All in all, a great kit from morebeer, super fun to brew and will definitely be a regular in my rotation. One tip is that this kit calls for 3oz of hops for dry hopping. It might be a good idea to put that in 3 different bags because it was a son of a b**** to get a 3oz bag out of my carboy.

If you like hoppy beers this ones for you. They soaked up valuable beer but it was worth it. High abv so be careful. Lots of compliments on this batch, I'll definitely do this one again.

So this was my fourth brew. very easy day, just use a good timer. I had a very quick cold break and it cleared up very well. My og was a little high at 1.082. She is fermenting like crazy blew the airlock a little no mess just foamed through the lock. I cleaned and airlock and filled it with vodka and put in place. i got a bit too much trub in the fermenter bit it settled quickly and the beer is beautifully clear. im going to leave it in the primary for 2 weeks then transfer to a secondary and dry hop for 4 days and bottle and condition and carbonate for 2 weeks and try one.I will update as the journey progresses. 4 stars so far far ease of brew day and bad ass aroma.

I really enjoyed this beer. Probably my fave IPA kit. I'm sure I will get blasted for saying this but, I actually prefer it over the Pliny recipe.

This beer has so many flavors going on I cannot describe fully. Very bitter with lots of citrus, fruit notes. Everyone has liked so far, but unfortunately this beer did not last long. Will definitely brew again but will go with 10 gal this time once I have free up some carboy and kegs lol.

Absolutely awesome! Great tasting beer for IPA fans. I can't wait to brew another as I'm almost out!

I've made quite a few extract brews recently, and while this one definitely has lots of steps, it is TOTALLY WORTH IT! Full of flavor and easy to drink. It can be high on the ABV scale, higher than anticipated, as mine came out to 9.5% so be careful. If you like hoppy beers, you'll love this.

This beer was exactly what i was looking for.!

I was looking for a kit to start to expand my skills and this was easy to use and I was very happy with the results. With an eye on the clock and the several hop additions it kept me on my toes, but it ended up with the final gravity and ABV as expected. I would definitely make it again.

This was my first IPA. Couldn't have come out any better. Tons of flavor for the HopHeads. A few of my MacroBrew Beer lovers friends were impressed. I will be brewing this one again soon.

This is by far the best beer I have made. Even people who describe themselves as not beer people? came back for another pint or three. The beer is smooth, full of flavor, and has an explosion of hops that will keep you coming back for more. I just ordered another one, and I?m sure this will become a constant on tap at my house.
