The description says American Light Ale beer has "Not much flavor, not much bitterness, not much of anything to tell you the truth." I disagree with this description- American Light Ale has very good flavor. I brewed 7 different types of beer this year and my friends chose American Light Ale as their favorite. Next year, I plan to brew 3 batches of this light, refreshing, and flavorful beer.

This beer is surprisingly good if you are trying to clone something like Mich Ultra or Bud Light. It has very little flavor, virtually no hop profile, and has a slight sweetness to it. If that is what you are looking for, then it is worth a try.

This would be a great first kit for a new brewer. It's easy to brew, tastes like beer, and is very cheap for an extract kit. But don't expect this lite ALE to turn out just like a major American brand lite LAGER. It's darn near as close as you can get though.

My very very first homebrew, and I couldn't be happier. This is a nice, smooth, light ale that everyone loved. Not a lot of flavor, but just enough to make it comparable to a commercial light beer. My wife, who doesn't care for beer, absolutely loved this one. Wyeast 1056, fermented for two weeks, then sat in the corny keg for two more. Will definitely brew this a few more times for the masses.

This is a great beginner kit. Simple ingredients, recipe and taste. A definite starting beer for the non home brew fan! Cheers!!
