    Research by Blichmann Engineering™ and White Labs shows significant reduction of esters (fruity flavors found in most ales) and low levels of diacetyl, by fermenting under pressure.

        Great looking as well as great function

        Blichmann Spunging Valve NPT functioning as advertised

        This is my first use of the Spunding valve on my Blichmann Cornical and so far it is working great. I am into the 7th day of fermentation. I have it set at a hair over 15 psi and it holds steady. The only issue I had was when I assembled it, the red O ring between the valve and the gauge shredded and blocked the channel to the gauge. After clearing it with a needle and a trip to the hardware store to buy a suitable O ring replacement, all worked fine. I'm looking forward to tasting the ale. The next brew will be a lager fermented at room temperature...that will be the real test! The quality of the valve is great as expected from Blichmann Engineering.

        I am looking for a spunding valve I trust blichmann but how am I going to hook this to a ball lock? I can’t seem to find a fitting between the two.

        I attached a tube to the end with a swivel on the other end that I could screw on to a gas coupler. The gas coupler goes on the keg you are fermenting in. I haven’t tried for a pressurized fermentation with this yet but it looks promising. The Blichmann sound valve is the best that I’ve found.

        I’m afraid you should look somewhere else because the Blichmann as far as I know just have two option triclamp and NPT mine is NPT which is attached to the NPT male that is on the lid of my cornical

        This was released as an accessory to the Blichmann Cornical. If you look at the parts that come with it you'll see a corny keg lid with a 1/2in MPT for it. You can probably order just that part and not rig it through ball lock adapters.
