    The Hop Bong is a versatile pressurizable tri-clamp accessory that is perfect for purging oxygen from your dry hops before dropping them into your fermenter. Load up the Hop Bong, flush it with CO2, purge out oxygen with the handy PRV on top, then simply open the Butterfly Valve to inject your beer with a 6 oz payload of dry hops.

    This kit is specifically adapted for use with the BrewBuilt X-Series conical fermenters and can be used with any stainless fermenter with 1.5" tri-clamp top port. The 2" T.C. Hop Bong attaches to a stainless 2" butterfly valve that then connects to a 2" x 1.5" T.C. reducer. This allows the largest capacity Hop Bong to be used with any of the 1.5" T.C. accessory ports on the BrewBuilt Conical's lid.

    Hop Pellet Capacity: 150–180g (5.2–6.3 oz)

        I ordered (2) Phantasm DIPA All Grain Kits. I got his for the large dry hops additions. When it arrived I was surprised to find no hop bong in the box. Just packing material. In shipping the box was damaged. All the good stuff fell out. FedEx taped it up & delivered the packing material. Thank you very much. I called MoreBeer & Richard was on it!. Replacement was on the way. DIPA was a dank monster with no oxidation. Thank You VERY Much!

        It looks like a very useful accessory but, has anyone had an issue with the Brewbuilt butterfly valve? I had a bad experience with two 3" Brewbuilt butterfly valves on my X3 conical not closing properly and therefore leaking.  I had to swap it out with a ForgeFit valve.

        Would this work with liquid hop products like Spectrum?

        I’ve not used hop liquids, but, I imagine them to be syrupy and sticky. I picture in this situation the syrup would just stick to the sides of the hop bong and butterfly valve resulting in very little yield in the fermenter.

        The documentation for the X3 says to NOT put loose hops in the fermenter, instead, you must use a mesh bag. The instructions for the hop bong say/show to dump loose hops in. Which is correct?

        The instructions for the X3 cautions to use bags for hops hop pellets and wood. How does this work with the X3 then?
