The fun and easy way to brew all-grain beer!
After 7 years of extract brewing I took the leap into all-grain brewing after reading about the Brewzilla electric brewing system. Brewzilla is a great way to learn about all-grain brewing but also a lot of fun. I'm very happy with it and I can't wait to start another batch of beer soon!

Very pleased with the Brewzilla the price and the MoreBeer team. My unit arrived with a damaged lid which was replaced by the team without issue. The unit works well and makes brewing in the house super easy.

Great time saver space saver convenience and price.
I love how this has reduced my brewing equipment leaving me more storage and brewing setup space in our garage. Easy to use convenient saves us time and easy step mashing if needed. I love using the pump to transfer to my fermenter and also to preheat/store hot water in my HLT prior to mashing. Combined with the online community and a great price it’s hard to beat. One thing I would add in the manual is to include a recommended qt/lb water to grain ratios. The traditional 1.25qt/lb is way too thick of a mash. Looking forward to my second batch!

Works well
So far so good. Keeps temps temp comes up fast. Could use a manual for initial assembly but it's easy enough to figure out.

Head to Head Comparison Brewzilla v Anvil
Loved my Anvil 10G and did over 60 batches with it but a little over one year in it started having electronic issues and randomly shutting down and Anvil's support people seemed unable to help resolve the problems so I decided to try the Brewzilla v3.11 9.25 gal. First qualifier, I do BIAB full volume mash and boil. The Anvil 10G malt pipe with the custom BrewBag could handle 7.25 gal water and 15 lbs of grain in a full volume mash with no boilovers and 75% efficiency. The BrewBag easily clips to the lip of the Anvil maltpipe and wraps around the handle. In comparison, the Brewzilla standard 9.25 gal maltpipe and system is not big enough to do a full volume mash. I ordered the custom BrewBag for the Brewzilla but it does not clip to the lip of the Brewzilla maltpipe and has to wrap over the entire system including the kettle, which is messy and inconvenient, and you must leave the maltpipe handle off to fully wrap and attach the BrewBag. The first time I tried to use the handle on the Brewzilla maltpipe it slid sideways and came out, nearly spilling hot wort all over me. I spent the extra $$ on the Brewzilla kettle extension and the extended maltpipe (and longer BrewBag) which then made it possible to do full volume mashes. Like the standard maltpipe, the extended maltpipe handle is still dangerous due to how easily it can slip out, and the overall Brewzilla setup is not very friendly to BIAG compared to the Anvil. My solution is to use the Anvil maltpipe and BrewBag set on the Brewzilla false bottom with the Brewzilla kettle extension and that seems to work great and give me the volume, safety, and control I need. I also use the Anvil wort chiller which works really great in the Brewzilla system with false bottom (I remove the Brewzilla kettle extension after mashing when I go to boil so the Anvil chiller is the perfect height) So both Brewzilla maltpipes and custom BrewBags are in the corner collecting dust and i am using the Anvil maltpipe and BrewBag. The Brewzilla chiller is also unused in the corner. Next, like most people, I find it inconvenient (if not painful) to get down on the floor to set and read the Brewzilla display. I use a hand mirror and do my best to transpose the backwards numbers. The temperature readout on the Brewzilla display is really inconsistent and unreliable. Even with constant stirring (or pump circulating), the display will read 159 degrees or more when I am only at 153 actual temp in the mash. However, at full boil (with constant stirring), the display only reads 198 so the heating element never shuts off during the boil. I bought the jacket for it but it is so difficult (and potentially dangerous) to put it on for heating and take it off for cooling that it is also collecting dust in the corner. So with the Brewzilla you need to constantly monitor your temps with a real thermometer and do not rely on the display and you must adjust your set temps to reflect the display inaccuracy. I don't step mash and I probably won't given the unreliability of the temp settings. The Anvil system (when it worked) was pretty much within 2 degrees between the mash temps and display temps and I seldom had to use a digital thermometer and tweak the settings all the time. With no directions included with the Brewzilla, it took me a few brews to realize that you only use both heating elements to raise the water to strike temp and then shut off the big element to mash and leave it off until you pull the malt pipe. Then run both elements to get to boil and turn the smaller element off and let just the large element maintain the boil. Luckily, the burnt wort cleaned off the bottom after my first few mistakes. The Brewzilla built in pump is nice but remember the wort sits in it whether you use it or not so it has the be PBW and clean water flushed after every brew session. Summary: So I'm about a dozen brews in with the Brewzilla. To allow for full volume BIAB mashes I am using the Brewzilla kettle extension during mash and removing it during the boil. I do not like the Brewzilla maltpipe setup, especially the unpredictable handle and unfriendliness with the BrewBags, so I am using the Anvil maltpipe and BrewBag (and Anvil chiller) in the Brewzilla and it works great. Efficiencies are running 72-75% and the beer is phenomenal. I think for the BIAB full volume mash I liked the Anvil system better (until it developed electronic issues), but I think I literally have the best of both worlds and systems now.

Simplify, simplify.
A pleasure to brew. Only negative is the location of the display.

Love this thing
The automated features of the Brewzilla have probably cut an hour off my brew day and upped the efficiency of my mashes too.I have a larger system for 10 gallon brews but you don't always want that big a batch so this is the perfect solution.

Just OK so far...
The 1st brew was a disaster... No instructions included with the unit. Thankfully Morebeer has a video to help with your first brew, but it should have something for instructions. Nothing...unless you go online. On 1st use the optional site glass broke which became a mess and wow I mean a mess. Then the rubber cap was placed inside the metal cone, because again no instructions, I thought was proper. The unit kept overflowing causing grain to enter the overflow pipe, so I had to constantly adjust the flow valve. After brewing and cleaning I realized the mistake. Again, even a parts list would have been nice. I have brewed for years BIAB and was really hoping this would have been a better experience but unfortunately it took twice as long. I certainly am optimistic the system will work more efficiently in the future, but the 1st brew was a disaster. On a side note, very well built.

Brewzilla 3.1.1
Purchased for $349 as an early Black Friday deal. Wanted to try electric all in one system. Coming from a basic 3 vessel with propane burner. Figured if I didn't like it, I could use it as a HLT (hot liquor tank). Chose over more expensive Gen 4 because I don't think I would use all the RAPT features.I live in Florida and 110 version takes ~65 minutes to get to 170 and another ~35 to get to boil. Neither are an issue for me. Boil is just adequate, much gentler and easier to control than propane.Pluses: Can setup delay timer to heat water so it's ready in morning. Easy to clean malt tube. One vessel if you do full volume mash (no sparge).Minuses: Controller location at bottom of unit. Very hard to see and you must either raise unit on a stand or get down on the floor to adjust.

Absolutely love it.
I brewed on this system for the 1st time today. Being new to brewing beer, I've done a couple extract kits but this was the 1st all grain day for me. The unit performed flawlessly. Can't wait to use it again and wouldn't hesitate to suggest it to anyone wanting to get in to a single unit brewing system.

Brewzilla 3.1.1
Great all- brewing system make sure you get the Therminafor wort cooler to knock down your wort temperature quickly. Combined this makes this a real slick system.

Great product! Highly recommended!
Replaced a Gen 1 Mash & Boil with the Brewzilla 3.1.1. Love the step programming. False bottom keeps a lot of trub out of fermentor. Lid is less than perfect but acceptable. So far a great piece of equipment.

Great entry-level all-grain brewing system
A friend of mine was all-grain brewing in a 3 vessel setup, but recently got the Brewzilla and showed me how it worked. I was impressed with how easy and compact it made everything. I ended up buying one for myself as I am just getting into home brewing and have limited space in my apartment. This unit easily makes 5 or 6 gallon batches but does take about an hour to bring it to a boil. The 110V is only downside to this kit. Also, make sure to purchase the whirlpool arm and neoprene jacket (unless you want to DIY your own insulation) to make brewing slightly faster and better. The included chiller is OK, I did not get the connection kit for it and zip-tied rubber tubing to the in and out ports and use a garden hose hookup under my sink to run Mains water through the chiller for around 20 minutes at about half open. When I fully opened the tap the water sprayed out of the end of the tubing in my sink all over, half-open was more than enough to cool the wort and keep the hose pressure under control in the sink.My biggest suggestion would be for a SS lid to be available alongside the glass lid. This would allow people in confined spaces to drill a steam condenser system into a blank SS lid and not into the side of the main vessel. I would like to have a steam condenser setup, but I need to find a sacrificial lid that fits.

The brewzilla is the most impressive piece of equipment I have used since I’ve started brewing 5 years ago. I don’t know why I never bought one sooner.. I highly recommend it ??????

I love the pump.
Hi I really like my brewzilla a lot. It’s so much nicer than the brew in a bag system, because there is no smell from the propane burner. I could us it in the house if I wanted to, bonus??
