This Chromatography kit was complete with everything needed for multiple tests. I tested at the beginning of MLF to get a baseline. Easy to follow instructions. Overall very pleased with this kit.

My first attempt at MLF was proven successful with this kit. Was easy to use and the results matched closely to was this kit illustrated.

The 25 pages, 8.4 oz of developer and the three acid standards in this kit were a much better deal than replacing these items by themselves as needed from my local winemaking supplier.

This is a great kit and has really be easy to use.

I used the test kit on two wines right after I received it. I followed the instructions provided and the results on the Chromatogram came out great! I was hoping to find that the malolactic fermentation was complete but it wasn’t , but it’s better to know for sure whether it’s complete or not!

Fairly easy to use, directions were a little unclear but after reading through them a couple of times it made sense. Otherwise, worked great and confirmed MLF had been completed!

This is a well designed kit that is easy to use and has a clear set of directions. As an extra control I added a sample of a nice Cotes du Rhone that I happened to be drinking and as expected it showed a complete ML fermentation. My wine, alas, had not fully completed ML fermentation to I have a bit more work to do.

Easy to use and results were very accurate. Honestly the easiest part of the winemaking process when compared to sulfite and pH management. Always use in a well ventilated area

This seems to work much better than the Vinmetrica system i recently bought and is less expensive. It works well. The Chromatography paper is packaged inside the bottle and is quite hard to remove. Perhaps consider shipping the paper separate from the bottle?

My test results came out pretty much like the kit sample sheet. However, development was slower perhaps due to cooler weather. I left the test sheet hanging in my garage overnight before the colors were plain to see. Afterwards, there was still a bit MLF in the wine, or perhaps it was a random spontaneous fermentation. CONCLUSION I think it is a worthwhile gauge of malolactic fermentation completion in wine, certainly better than guessing by staring at tiny bubbles. I plan on using this kit on my future wines.

This is a good complete kit. As a first time user, I would highly recommend finding a YouTube video on how to use the kit to get comfortable with the process. Now I know with good accuracy the status of my MLF.

The kit worked pretty well. Results for MLF completion were pretty faint, but visible. The developer solution with formic acid is nasty stuff. Use lots of ventilation. Will share with friends and use again.

I would recommend this product as an indicator that malolactic fermentation has begun and is close to finishing.

Test is simple but it doesn’t tell you if you are completely Malic dry. Currently looks like I have no Malic acid and lactic acid shows Lactic and between Malic and lactic. There is still some minimum activity in the carboy to suggest that it is still undergoing ml. I did the test twice with a week between and results are the same.

The kit was as advertised. It's easy to use and provides the results that I want.

Great price for a well thought out paper chromatography kit with everything you need. Results are incredible and very useful. Save samples of juice, primary ferm, secondary ferm and finished wine and run them together to see the progress of your fermentation.

The test setup id straight forward with only a few steps that needs tobe followed to get the results you need. Be sure to have adaquate air ventilation during drying phase.

When I received the materials I immediately conducted a test on one kit-wine and one wine made with the help of ‘others’. The test clearly showed that the ‘other’ wine had completed MLF and that the kit-wine did not. I look forward to using these materials when I make wine from grapes later this fall...pictures to follow.

As a beginning winemaker this test was recommended by several authors. Worked as described and provided an excellent indication of acids. Smells a little so follow the directions and dry outside. Will purchase again next season.

Was always wary of chromatography kits, but this was super easy to use and much better than paying for a lab to test numerous samples.

The chromatography test kit was very inexpensive and easy to operate.It is a very good test kit.

After following instructions, results were accurate and easy to interpret. It does take an overnight drying for good interpretation .

This kit does a good qualitative job of detecting the presence of tartaric, malic and lactic acids in wine. Easy to use. You can easily do 9-10 samples on one paper chromatography sheet. You can also rinse and reuse the capillary tubes if you so desire.

The kit has everything you need to do several tests. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

This kit is very easy to use. Great directions. I will always have this on hand.

This is a great way to determine if MLF is complete. We also have the fancy instruments but find this test easier to use
