I bought this for extract brews that have large flavoring grain bills. Used it for the 3lbs grain in the Stratagem kit and it worked wonderfully. Probably could fit 6 or so lbs but no worries using less. I use the spent grain as bird feed for the quails.

Needed something for my cooler mash tun since most of the grain I buy either online or at my local homebrew store is crushed too fine gets through my false bottom and clogs the outlet when I start my vorlauf. Bought two and have so far used one for one batch and it did the trick - no clogging of the outlet spout. Reusable and relatively easy to clean. So far I'm happy with it!

Based on the recommendation on batch size I bought this bag thinking the one I had at home was too small. While the bag quality is good (not great) this bag is HUGE for the recommended 5 gal extract batch. I think the grain was only 1.5 lbs... and could've definitely used a much much smaller bag. Threw it in the washing machine (inside out nothing else) and came out looking new.

This large fermentation bag is very handy when using a 6-7 gallon fermentation bucket (it is in fact oversize). I do a raspberry wine (which has small seeds) and it works great! Only complaint is that it's a bit too large for the vessel I have (but it's better than one that's too small).

This bag is decent hence the 3 star rating. For it's size it lacks a little strength. Mine blew out during the draining process so buy a couple and allow yourself time to learn it's capabilities.

This about two weeks ago. I used it for the second time today - and it ripped, again. The side stitching came apart on the first bag that I bought from MoreBeer about a year ago, and the side stitching come apart, again, on the second bag that I bought two weeks ago in San Leandro. This might be a me problem, but this might also be a "side stitching" problem. Regardless, brew away, friend.
