I use these to isolate certain lines if I need to refill a container which is empty; it allows me to not have back-pressure and also to not make a mess.
Great easy to use fitting. Use on the keg to tap lines. Keep the lines shut off just incase they get bumped when not in use.
Works great! Perfect for kegerator CO2 lines to kegs
Added these to shut the Co2 off between the regulator and the keg. Seems to work.

The Bidet I was installing has hot and cold water. I located the cold water ball valve at a local DIY store, but the hot water hose was 8mm-5/16, which I could not find anywhere. Also, the hose hookup on the Bidet was 8mm as well, or I would have just changed it out completely. Searching endlessly until I came across MoreBeer website and I discovered exactly what I needed to complete my Bidet installation. Without the ball valves to control the water pressure, It is like a pressure washer hitting the bullseye. Not a pleasant experience. The DuoTight Push-in Fitting-8mm Ball Valve works great. Thanks MoreBeer, Two Thumbs up!
I use them to regulate air to my lathe and mill coolant systems
Easy way to connect EVA Barrier tubing. Perfect fitting to help me direct CO2 to purge kegs while fermenting or keep a keg under CO2 pressure while cold crashing.
Great build, and a useful addition to the keezer build :)
These things are great. Instead of buying a 4 -way manifold, just use these fittings and some tubing to build your own for just a few bucks!
What is the expected duty cycle for this DuoTight ball valve? That is how many times is it designed to be opened and closed before a potential issue?
Sorry can not answer since I only installed as a "just in case" I needed to shut line down.
I’ve had mine for over a year with no issues at all
Can this be used to restrict the flow of beer thru my taps?
Could but probably shouldn't - it would create a lot of turbulence in your line. It's much better as an on/off switch. If you're having too fast flow (or too much foaming) you probably need a much longer serving line.
Since this is a ball valve design it's not really meant to be used as a flow restrictor. I haven't tried this out but I suspect you will get a lot of foaming if you try to use this as a flow restrictor on your beer lines. Flow restriction valves are typically needle valves and this gives more surface area to restrict the flow allowing for less foaming. You also probably wouldn't get very fine restriction adjustments because you only have a 90 degree range of motion on the valve and the flow restricting portion of that range of motion will only be 5 degrees or so.
Yes you can. I would suggest you increase the length of the beer line to restrict the fllow.
If I have this inline with a secondary regulator do I also need a check valve?
I wouldn’t say you need a check valve. It really would be your choice. The ball valve does not have any check valve functionality so if you desire that function you would need to purchase one.
If you want to have a check valve you will need an extra one. This valve will allow flow in either and both directions at all times.
Can this be used as a CO2 shutoff?
Yes. I use them for this purpose.
I really don't know
I’ve used it up to 25 psi
I am unsure but the diameter is correct. I'd try it and keep an eye on it.
Yes I use them as a co2 shutoff.
Yes they can Enter
I've used these in both the gas and liquid lines as shutoffs. Keep in mind that these do not have a check valve that you typically get in a manifold setup. I believe there is a duotight check valve that can be placed inline to prevent liquid from flowing into the gas lines.
Yes it can as long as you are connecting it to 8mm tubing. The tubing needs to be very round and free of defects. Tubing that is slightly oval in the cross section may leak and you will lose all of your CO2. This happens a lot when the tubing is coiled too tightly and stored or shipped in that state.
Yes that's exaclty how I use mine. I also use one on my RO water without issues.
