I got these like others to prevent beer going back into the gas system when a keg is filled to the top. However this one failed in its duties. Or am I using it wrong?

I have one of these on my continuous carbonated water keg's input water line. That works fine with just a very faint hum when the water flows. Installed on my CO2 lines they made an embarrassing and annoying loud squeal with every pour. I removed them and replaced them with stainless check valves on each CO2 line - no more squeal. I have seen that Duotight makes a similar check valve specifically for gas lines that might work better for CO2 but I've only seen it for sale at one vendor in Canada so haven't tried it.

I inserted these when I added a second keg to my kegerator. They are doing their job and prevent liquid from back flowing into my co2 regulator but the reason I gave only a 3 star rating is because I now have an annoying whistling sound when I pour. Still searching for a solution but I may have to switch to a double feed regulator.
