I have two sets of the male/female connectors which allows me to disconnect our espresso bar from the water supply so that it (the bar) can be rolled forward for cleaning. Works awesome!

These QDs are awesome. They’re secure and easy to connect/disconnect. They can get hot so always use caution and PPE as necessary.

I've replaced the brass disconnects with these stainless steel ones and found them to be by far superior.. The previous ones became corroded over the years and were more and more difficult to connect and disconnect.. The stainless disconnects were a welcome change in that when connected were tight and solid,, and were effortlessly disconnected. Expensive but the sweetness of use remains long after the bitterness of cost.

I had several types of connections in my brewery and finally decided to upgrade. I use these everywhere now. They are beyond handy and have saved me many hours in time lost cleaning and making switches. These are the highest grade and quality I have come across. I have friends with cheaper quick connects from other sites and they have had problems with leaks. These are super solid and leak free. A must have on your pumps. Thanks More Beer.

I have several of these ball lock quick disconnects to make moving hoses from one kettle to another or to the recirculation arm super easy. A bonus is the ease to clean any of these connections.

Will this fit on the end of a basic garden hose?
No different treads
99% sure no they won’t. I haven’t tried threading them together. You’ll need an adaptor pretty sure and watch for lead if it’s brass. I’ll check later and get 100%.
No. This quick disconnect is 1/2 inch pipe fitting. A garden hose is different.
No. The quick disconnect has pipe threads. You need hose threads. Check your hardware store. They should have 1/2” pipe thread to 3/4” hose adapters.

The female threads of the connect are 1/2”. The male threads of a garden hose are larger. Except as I’ve read on less expensive hoses which can be 1/2”. Then it becomes a matter of threads. Again as I’ve read the threads on a hose are 11 1/2 per inch. I’m not sure what they are in the disconnect. Check with More Beer. They have always been very helpful and responsive to me.
No. This is 1/2” pipe thread. Adapters are available to convert to garden hose thread from your local hardware store
No. This fitting is female pipe thread and needs a male pipe thread to garden hose adapter. I have bought those adapters at big box hardware stores in the plumbing section. Usually a brass fitting.
Sadly I think not. If the picture is accurate the threads are for 1/2” pipe threads (NPT). You can adapt a QD fitting to hose by using a barbed adapter variety rather than the one shown i.e. 1/2” barbed to (female) QD. More Beer sells those too.

It won’t directly you would need 1/2 male x garden hose fitting and that will connect the quick connect.
