This is one of the most accurate meat thermometers I have ever used! Never fails when cooking a Tri-tip for brew day.

Probe was a little short to check temp. inside carboy for adding yeast. Now use a digitat thermometer for this job. Use the folding thermometer for checking temp. of wort on stove.

This thermometer reads a few degrees cooler than my old-school glass thermal expansion thermometer, which I think is pretty accurate. Also the handle seems to be set up to be held in your right hand, so its awkward to hold it while your stirring or something unless you're left handed.It does read faster than the glass thermometer, and has a much higher range so I'm looking forward to using this for deep frying

Lower quality than I would have liked. It is quite slow to get a reading.

I have another instant read thermometer that I use for cooking food and it gives a final reading in about 3 seconds, this unit takes close to 10 seconds to come up with a final reading.

Faster and easier to read than my glass mercury thermometer. Digital is nice too.

Works great. Really love how quick it gets a temp reading. The hold button is nice as well so you can get it to hold the current temp display.
