This is my first try at making Root beer. I've now made two batches, the second batch I increased the extract to a full ounce per gallon. Much better flavor.
Recommended in the product description, I decided to try this concentrate for my grand kids.We kegged a 5 gallon batch using RO water and 4 lbs of cane sugar.Very happy with the flavor!
Not quite as good as the hires root beer extract. But pretty darn good.
Great taste and pretty easy to make. My kids and friends loved it!This concentrate can stain. Careful when working with it.
Made no churn root beer ice cream....delicious! Thanks
I mixed up a 2.5 gallon batch of this with half of the 4.0 ounces that come with the kit. I added my proprietary blend of sugars, flavoring, and one salty Irish tear - this Root Beer turned out to be really amazing. I have a 3 gallon corney keg so carbonation is not that tough. I really enjoy this extract and will make just a few changes to the next recipe to see how I like that. But even if I didn't change a thing, I still give it 5 stars.
Great stuff. I use brown sugar and a tiny dash of pure vanilla and the people love it!!!
My kids like this brand better than any of the others we have tried.
This makes a great root beer! Tastes just like a root beer that a local brewery of mine makes. Highly recommend! I'll definitely buy this again.
Best root beer extract I’ve found so far. Only complaint is thin body and no head retention. I add maltodextrine to help boost this. My root beer is big hit with friends.

I’ve made a few batches with Gnome. The flavor is great - using cane and honey. I havent been able to carbonate it well. I set it to 30psi run it through 30’ of liquid line and still get either flat or foam. But it tastes great!

Excellent, super easy to make. I keg mine and my daughter has her own tap on my keezer! Frosty mugs in the freezer, she loves it!

Kids love it. We keep a keg on tap at all times for kids and company.
Ok, listen up. Wanna give the kids the sugar high of their lives? Grab a 5 gallon corny keg, put about a gallon of hot water in it (hot water makes it easier to mix ingredients) dump in the whole package of Gnome Rootbeer, 2 pounds of white sugar and 2 pounds of brown sugar. Fill the keg up about half way (hot water again) and shake the hell out of it. Then top it up to the 5 gallon mark, plug it into your CO2 (I use 30 lbs of pressure) and in about a week you have awesome rootbeer on tap. Bam!

I made this recipe and it was a hit with all the kids. I put this in a keg and put it on tap in our garage. One word of caution, if you put this on tap, understand that the lines will hold the root beer taste and cannot be used for your home brew recipes. Or you can ignore this review and enjoy root beer infused home brew.
Not super spicy, more like an A&W than a Barqs or something stronger, not bad.

made this in with a kit and it was ok, not the best but not the worst. Was delicious in a float though.

So creamy and delicious. My kids always ask for it. It's my favorite extract out there.

My kids really enjoyed this particular brand as it is the closest to store-bought root beer. We used a combination of sugar and honey in a slightly lower proportion than recommended and it turned out great.

We found that using 60-70% less water with this works the best also is good to mix 50/50 in with their Vanilla cream, quite tasty.
