Easily installed works a treat efficiency seems higher than with single bazooka tube. Hasn't blocked with wheat or rye mashes. Recommend.

Searching other ideas other than a false bottom to use in a mash tun came across this and it is so stupidly simple it works just fine! Also the spring coil is long enough I cut it in half to use in another mash tun and purchase the T fitting.

Works EXACTLY as designed. Increased BHE by 10-12% and no issues with stuck mash even with 60+% wheat or rye malt. This is one of the cleverest ideas I've seen for brewing in 30-odd years of homebrewing. By one. You'll love it.

This was a quick install on my Kettle...it clogs much less frequently than the old 8" bazooka tube I was using...it is easier to clean also. If you use a heavy amount of hops even with a bag it can clog. You might want to pick up a 2" stainless nipple - it makes the installation quick if you already have a ball valve setup on your kettle. I think you could also use this in a mash tun instead of building a manifold...Cheers!

I use this in my 100qt cooler mash tun and it works perfectly. my last use of this was a 10 gallon porter. I recirculated 15 gal of water over 35+ lbs of grains and it worked perfectly to keep the grains out of my pump. mash was layered perfectly with the little bits on top and the bigger chunks at the bottom and the wort came out clean and tasty. -easy to clean -flexible and moveable -easy to install/uninstall -will never go back to PVC pipes

It filtered well for me but left quite a bit of wort in the bottom of my Spike 15 gallon kettle. I've since gone back to my 90 elbow which leaves considerably less loss.

I bought this to replace an old bazooka screen in my mash tun. Wow! It turned out to be a major upgrade. I don't even have to vorlauf (but I do of course) because wort comes out clear from the first drop.
