Amazing! I made some alterations to the original recipe, but the result was the best holiday-spiced Ale that I've had. Super smooth with a beautiful dark amber clean transparent color.

Brewed on 11/19, and tapped my first glass today 11/24. Followed the recipe, except I added a pound of sweet orange peel to the secondary. Nice color, nice head retention, excellent flavor. The added spices are not overpowering. Not very hop forward. Make sure to let this warm up a bit to truly enjoy. My kegerator is set to 37°. I will definitely brew this again.

I've made this several times and it's always a favorite. Try adding 2lbs frozen cranberries at the 60' boil and 2lbs frozen cranberries at knockoff for an additional holiday kick.

Full of flavor in a subtle way. Everyone enjoyed very much.

Followed the recipe on this one. I guess I am not a big fan of spiced beer, flavor was not BAD and the results came out fine. My brother and daughter loved it. I am saving three six packs for next thanksgiving.

I have brewed this one twice. If you like a gently spiced dark ale, you will like this one. This year I added 2 tbs of dark cocoa powder with the spices and it turned out nice. It is a bit like Sam Adams Old Fezziwig. I would brew it a third time next christmas if I'm too lazy to attempt my own recipe of this style.

Made this for Christmas and everyone loved it including my beer club. By far my favorite beer of the three I made for the holidays. Great Carmel taste with just a hint of cinnamon and all spice. A very clear beer with super creamy head.

Very similar to a “Ginger Snap” ale I created a couple of years ago. The blend of spices and malt flavors are excellent. Great cold weather beer for the whole winter, not just the holidays. This one ages well, so I’d recommend an October brew to give it a little time if you bottle.

This was the 1st Brew I've done after a few years away from the hobby and what a success! I served it to our holiday guests and even the "highbrow" wine drinkers liked it! They all said they were excited to try my next beer.I will definitely do it again next year!

Brewed this in early October to make sure it was ready for Christmas. Cracked one open second week of November because I couldn't wait for Christmas. Man it was good. Just a hint of spice that reminds you of the holidays! Taste like the house smells when grandmas baking. Not too heavy though, so a second pint, (or third) isn't out of the question.. I think if have time for another batch before Christmas...

This beer has turned into a tradition for me. I usually bake some of my special chocolate chip oatmeal cookies and this beer goes very well with them. My family loves this beer so it is so nice that I can make something to celebrate with. I think that this is year 4 brewing this beer and still love it.

I brewed this for my family's annual christmas eve party and it was even a bigger hit than I had thought. I wasn't paying attention during the party but when I went to pour a glass a couple days later... the keg was pretty much kicked. I don't think we've ever gone through a keg that fast with all the other drink options we usually have. People REALLY liked this one. It's well balanced and most importantly has just the perfect amount of spice. Doesn't taste like you are eating an ornament like some Christmas beers do.Will definitely be doing this beer again next year.

Probably my best homebrew to date. Not usually a fan of Christmas beers but this one is excellent. Well balanced and not "over the top" with the spices. I may have to make two batches next year due to the demand from friends and family.

This was my first beer that I utilized a full boil. Great blend of ingredients- smelled incredible during brew. OG was spot on, fermentation started like clockwork 6 hrs later using Safale-5. I left in fermenter for 3 weeks, then bottled. As is often case, last bottle was only about 2/3 full- so threw it in fridge, just to see what would taste like. Even without carbination, this beer rivals many of the Christmas ales out there. Drank entire thing. After 1 week in bottle, tried another one- even better. Looking forward to sharing with family this Christmas

I will definitely buy this again, it was a hit with the holidays and I enjoyed it along side all of my friends and family. One of the best parts of the Holidays.

I have to qualify this review by stating up front that I didn't use the spices. It was on sale big price cut after the holidays and I just wanted a good ale extract kit for less money. This was my second stab at homebrewing. Flavor did not disappoint. Relatives gave it big thumbs up.

This may well be my favorite homebrew so far. I picked it on a whim when in the store because it was on special and looked interesting. I ordinarily do not like trendy specialty beers but was well pleased. The spices are subtle but add an interesting dimension. Not a single person that tried it has been dissatisfied. Will place this on the regular rotation.

Spiced ales just don't do it for me.

Brewed this extract kit because my all-grain system was down. this beer is very drinkable. Not too much spice, so you don't get overloaded. Very well blended. you can definitely drink 2 or more in one sitting. I am keeping the recipe to duplicate next winter :)

It was ok. We brewed it, and we might use it as a base for adding more spices for next year, but like some of the other reviewers stated, it's a bit bland for what we expected. I personally thought it would be a bit spicier. That being said, we certainly enjoyed it, but it wasn't anything for us to write home about.

I've made this several times and have been very satisfied with this recipe. I try to have it on tap for the Holidays every year. Family and friends love it.

This beer was just ok. Zero head and the spices come through all right, just meh. I'll drink all of the bottles, but don't think I'd buy again.

This was a dynamite hit with my friends and family. I put 2 12oz of this beer in my holiday 6 pack gifts. They were by far everyone's favorite variety. It is incredibly balanced. The young beer only carbed up in a bottle for a week tasted great. I also lost one of these bottles in the back of the fridge until only about a month or so ago and it was still really delicious. I will brew this every year.

. . . and that last drop was just finished over last weekend. I have now brewed this two years in a row right before the holidays. Perfect balance of spices. This will be an annual brew!

This was about the tenth batch I've made and it turned out great - the whole family really enjoyed it at Christmas. Thought it was a LITTLE BIT too spicy for my taste - I'll definitely brew this again next holiday season but will probably go a bit lighter on the spices and may add in some orange peel as well.

What an amazing brew to make. It was well balanced without being over powering.
