Gave this yeast a spin after reading about it on a NEIPA blog. This will be my go-to from now on for juicy hazy IPAs. Like the manufacturer description says this yeast likes to climb. Both times I've made a 1L starter in a 2L growler it's blown out the airlock. I've brewed one batch with this yeast and the next starter is on deck when my fermenters free up. The resulting hazy is the best I've made and the certified judges that tasted it gave a resounding thumbs up. Perfect color cloudiness and taste. It fermented further down that I had calculated. I mash at 154 to give it some additional body and sweetness. BeerSmith calculated a 1.018 FG but the result was actually 1.010 so the ABV was a lot higher than predicted. That being said this yeast is perfect for hazies and I'll continue to go back to it for this style.

        Tenacious and thorough strain.

This stuff takes off quick and goes to town! Large headspace blow-off or fermenting under pressure is highly recommended. In my experience has great attenuation and really fits it's niche as advertised.

        Allow plenty of headspace!

I made a 1500ml starter for my NEIPA using a 3L flask ... allow plenty of headspace! Just started my batch today but will follow up with results ...

        Love this strain!!

Got exactly what I was looking for with this strain. Got to high krausen within 2 days and stuck around for the majority of fermentation(12 days). Got that hazy juicy IPA I was trying for. Me & MoreBeer will be friends for a while.

        Good yeast

Used for a NEIPA and it's very good. Pretty sure it's Imperial's version of 1318. I actually prefer it to 1318. I feel like it produces a drier finish which I prefer to overly sweet NEIPAs.

        The Stuff is Great

Talk about an great yeast this stuff goes gang buster once pitched. Great variety and you really don't need to do a starter. I have had it blow the top off of my carboy on occasion. I now use a bungy cord and a blow off into a milk jug.

        Juicy hazy fruity yeast. Excellent!

Shipped with an ice pack arrived perfectly. I've used this in a double and a session IPA. Nice fruity taste with alot a grapefruit at the finish. Haze is thick even without alot of added protein.

Superb! This will be my go-to for any NEIPA or fruit forward hazy ales.

Honestly this is a great NEIPA/JUICY/HAZY yeast, my only problem was in the summer the yeast arrived warm and swollen which led to a lower attenuation but that’s not the yeasts fault. I highly recommend this yeast but I also recommend buying this yeast in bulk in the winter/spring to last you through the summer if you plan to use it a lot. Unfortunately that’s your best option when dealing with liquid yeast.
