    The "Big Brother" to one of our best-selling pumps! Expect the same quality that customers have come to expect from the MKII Pump (PMP50) but with more power. This 65 watt magnetic drive pump is powerful enough for homebrewers and micro brewers alike. Use it to move hot wort in an all-grain system and also to transfer wort from boil kettle to fermenter. The pump head is made from 304 grade stainless steel with 3/4" threaded ports that can easily be converted to tri-clamp. The magnetic drive allows you to slow down the flow without damaging the pump. This pump is not self-priming so do not run the pump dry. The pump head can be rotated in 60-degree increments, allowing for 6 different pump head orientations.

    We recommend adding two 1.5" T.C. x 3/4" Female BSPP adapters to the ports. From there you can use a ForgeFit 1.5" T.C. x Male QD to use quick disconnects with your lines, or convert to your preferred tri-clamp fittings.

        Be careful. I failed to realize this pump has 3/4 inch inlet/outlet and BSP not NPT. So if your hardware is all 1/2 inch you will need to factor in some adapters. It does have great flow rate. No air bleed valve to help prime. It is a hefty beast too. I've used it for 1 brew day so far and am happy with the performance.

        Great little pumper very pleased

        I love this little pump it's a workhorse and hasn't let me down yet but the first thing I did was put the stainless steel head on it there's no better way to go

        What material is the pump impeller made of?

        My pump all of a sudden started not flowing as well as it has. At first I thought it was clogged with hops but took it apart and it was clear. I then tried it with just water and I it barely pushes any water. I don't see any air in the tubing and have purged it many times just in case. Any suggestions?

        Will this pump work well with 1/2" ID lines on the inlet (with suitable adapters)?

        Most of my equipment is all ½” and overlooked this was ¾”. I reduced the inlet to and got a 1.5” tri clamp ball valve and then attached a ½ quick disconnect to that. This was to fit the all my fitting to the kettle mash and HLT plus all my hoses have ½ quick disconnect to them. I notice a lot of air bubbles that got trapped under my false bottom during the transfer so there is a lot of cavitation due to the size reductions on entry and exit. What fitting do you recommend for the entry and what ball lock for the exit?

        Pretty sure the issue in not the entry but maybe the fact the flow is controlled by the ball value on the Mash tun it should be controlled by a ball valve on the out side of the pump that way the pump is not full force pulling which will draw air. If controlling on out side of the pump then that allows the hose to fill fully and cavitation ill not happen. Hope this help.

        I used 3/4 NPT x 1.5 tri clamp and have had no problems. This pump is very powerful and I only use it as a transfer pump. It pumps 36-40 gallons into my fermenter in minutes

        How will this work with a CIP ball? I have the MKII lower model and it does not make the CIP ball spin with any power with a head of 4ft.

        This pump is likely not powerful enough to spin a CIP ball. It is possible to put multiple pumps in-line to increase the velocity of the output.
