You'll need to buy the dispensing cap which is another $20, but that's not a big deal considering what you get for the money.I use them for fermentation under pressure (10-20 psi) with a spunding valve, and then as kegs. They fit pretty easily into a refrigerator for lager or wine. Very convenient all-in-one package.Unfortunately, the design isn't completely ironed out yet as leaks are pretty common. You'll need to wrap all the threading with teflon tape and you'll want new O-rings for the posts, as connections are prone to leaking as well.

I specifically ordered this instead of a mini-keg that cost almost the same as a 5-gal keg. Works like a charm. I also do not have to fill bottles anymore so I save time transferring from FV to this keg. I also ordered the ball lock adapter. No issues with leaks there. As for the quality of the oxebar, it does seem to have a bit of a thinner side which can dent if pushed in too hard. At the price of a replacement, I would absolutely buy another if needed before I forked over what a mini-keg would cost. Other factors to consider are cost of a min-regulator and sodastream CO2 if that is the route you go. It can get expensive, but for me it works perfectly.

Note that you need the ball lock dispensing cap if you want to serve via tap. Pros: They are inexpensive compared to the 1 gallon mini kegs. If you make small batches or test batches (like I do) it's an exexpensive way to keg, carbonate and serve much like any ball lock keg. Of course cleaning is not as easy (just like the mini keg) because of the size of the opening, but you know that before you buy it and should be ready to deal with it. Cons: My only issue is the shape of the bottom. Many kegerators have non-flat, contoured floors and these kegs don't like to stand up on that floor. There are work-arounds, but this is why I took one star.Yes I recommend this and will buy it again (with the ball lock cap) if I need more. I do like the mini keg better (with the ball lock cap) but it's more than twice the price at the time of this review, and this does the job just fine.
