I've had this and the Kent Female in my brew house. I love them. They don't get hot like the stainless steel ones and are easy to clean. I've heard people say you should change them out every year to avoid contamination. I ensure my are cleaned after each use and have been using them for a few years. Definitely worth the purchase.

I put 3 of these on the kettles of my HERMS and have had no issues, even on the boil kettle. I would recommend these to a friend. Super value.

I use both the male and female connectors on my HERMS. They work great and are well worth the cost. I may upgrade when they wear out but they still seal 100%, don't leak, have no cracks or chips. You have to be a little careful with the torque on your hoses as they might twist the fittings. After the first brew it's no issue.

In the process of putting together a brew stand, a fellow club member suggested these. It is a great way to get started with QD's without having to break the bank (compared to either camlocks or collar QD's.) I've used them a few times, and they are simple as can be to use. I wish the I.D. was a little bit bigger, but the flow through them is more than sufficient, so this is a minor complaint at best.

I use these QD fittings for everything, transfer from HLT to MLT, MLT to boil kettle, and out to chiller. I have had zero issues with them, they seal tight with a quarter turn until they click, and don't seem to be affected by the heat. Very smooth, and very high quality. I just use a little teflon tape on the threaded side, and they mate well with stainless fittings. Couldn't be happier.
