Lallemand | LalBrew® Windsor British Style Ale Yeast | Dry Beer Yeast

    Description

    • LalBrew Windsor™ is a true English ale strain that produces a balanced fruity aroma with lower attenuation due to an inability to metabolize maltotriose
    • A consistent, robust strain that produces moderate levels of alcohol and balanced flavor and aroma characteristics of traditional English ales
    • Perfect for brewing Milds, Bitters, Irish Reds, English Brown ales, Porters and Sweet Stouts
    • Lallemand premium brewing yeast offers brewers unmatched consistency, reliability and purity from one batch of beer to the next

An excellent, economical choice for creating traditional English Ales. Windsor Ale yeast starts fast and can ferment through in as few as three days when temperature is maintained above 63°F. Produces the characteristic fruity esters you expect from English style beers. Moderate attenuation, low flocculation leave a full bodied, traditional style beer.

Beer Styles: Fruity English ales, pale ales, porters
    Aroma: Fruity, estery
    Attenuation: Medium
    Fermentation Range: 59-72°F
    Flocculation: Low

One of my favorite yeasts for making British Ales for Spring and Summer. Ferments sweet and works great for producing full-bodied, fruity beers such as bitters, stouts and porters. Moderate ABV.

        Great dry yeast

I like using dry yeast. I always use a yeast starter when I brew. This yeast was very reactive and started the fermentation process quickly. I'd use it again.

        Works well

Just made an English ale and it came out nice. Will use it for a porter and a stout next.

        works as expected

I brewed the all grain B3 stout recipe and wanted it to finish on the sweet side without adding lactose. I knew from previous experience that Windsor would be my choice. I pitched 2 packs re-hydrated and it worked as expected. The result is a wonderful dessert beer.

This is my go-to yeast for New England IPAs. I wouldn't use anything else. My end results are better than treehouse/trillium.
