    • Includes Northern Brewer and Willamette hops

It is best consumed within 2-8 weeks in the bottle, but will age nicely over the course of 3 months.

    • Makes 5 Gallons
    • Estimated Original Gravity:1.032-35
    • SRM (Color Range): 15-16
    • IBUs: 22-25
    • Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 3.4%

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

        Delicious session beer

Deliciously creamy on beer engine, poured from top, no sparkler needed. Chocolate, dark with long lasting head. Lots of body. Low abv so sinking a couple Imperial pints are easy to enjoy. While I love the tap handle template, in this case a pump clip template would have been better, ha ha! I had to cut and rearrange the label to fit.Absolutely recommended and I will definitely buy again!I used recommended WY1318 which may now become one of my favorite yeasts. Just give it lots of headspace in the fermenter.

        Great beer

This is a very good beer and is easy to brew. It tastes great after two weeks in the bottle but is amazing after about 3 months if you can wait that long!!

        A Good Mild Beer

This kit will make a nice, mild brown ale that is not overly malty or "dark" tasting that both light and dark beer drinkers will enjoy. A simple and easy recipe that will produce a very drinkable beer.

        Mellow and Tasty

This is a great intro beer, and drinks very smoothly. It strongly benefits from a clean fermentation; you will have excellent malt flavors from it. I suggest adding about 4oz more of chocolate malt (on the other hand, I always add chocolate malt...). English Ale yeast or WLP001 do great with it, go for lower temps (62-65).

        Good beginner beer

I purchased this kit as the first recipe for a beginner. The kit was fool-proof and tasted great.
