        Sturdy and Cost Effective - Works with EZ Cap bottles

        This is a sturdy and very cost effective bench capper. I used to use one of the hand cappers, but it didn't work with the EZ Cap bottles. This one does a perfect job.I did mount it onto a 8-inch by 12-inch piece of wood and added some anti-skid pads to make it just a little more stable for use, but it worked just fine without as well.

        The base is somewhat triangular shaped. Overall the base is 8.5-inches from front to back and 6.75 inches ad the widest point (near the front) The support column is 20.5-inches tall (from the base to the top of the rubber end cap) and it is made from square tubing that is about 1.1-inches square. The mechanism at it's lowest point is 5.75 inches from the base to the bottom of the capping die. It can be raised in increments of about 1/2-inch to a maximum of 16.75-inches of clearance between the base and the bottom of the capping die. The handle (leaver arm) is 10-inches long from the pivot point. When it is perfectly perpendicular to the support post it is 13-inches from the back of the post out to the tip of the handle.The full throw of the capping die is 1.25 inches when the leaver is down as far as it will go.
