It took a long time to be delivered.

I ordered this on 6/21/22.It is about an 1/8" smaller in diameter than my G30.I tried to use one of the malt pipe gaskets (which needed to be stretched quite a bit) but then it would not fit in the G30.A thinner gasket might work but I'm not sure where to find one.This screen in combination with the G30's standard pump filter kept my pump from cogging and also enabled me to get more wort into my fermenter.It would be nice if it was made from a little thicker metal but seems like it should hold up for a while anyway.

Once I used this below my basket in the Grainfather, I was amazed how much it captured. No more slowing down the pump---this false bottom stops a lot of debris from getting to the pump.

I bought this screen for a false bottom for the Grainfather G30. There were a few modifications needed to make it work. The diameter is about 1/8" too big. I used a grinder to remove 1/16" all the way around the edge. I then used a file to remove burrs and smooth the edge and prevent scratching the GF. It fit perfectly. Next the round loop "handle" in the center was too tall and hit the base of the grain basket. I removed the loop and used a vise to compress it into a low profile "T" shape and reattached it to the screen. The legs on the screen are just a bit short, so the screen rests on top of the GF cylindrical filter, but I didn't worry about it since it was nearly level and fitting well with the walls of the GF. If it becomes an issue, the legs could be slightly lengthened by bending them int a slight "V" shape.I brewed one test batch, omitting the use of a hop spider. I noticed less scorching than usual on the burner, very little build-up of trub on the GF cylidrical filter, and good pump flow rate. The screen did it's job well. I also noted a reduction in my trub loss, likely due to the GF cylindrical filter staying clean. I bought this screen to use as a false bottom on the Anvil Foundry 10.5 gal all in one. The screen is a tight fit and I had to curve it slightly to get it in. Overall happy with the way it works and now I can do a BIAB on the Anvil Foundry withoutthe malt pipe.

This fits fine in the Grainfather, no issues and blocks about 95% of the solid matter from the second filter in the Grainfather.

Using this below the grain basket in a Grainfather in leu of the small GF filter. Helps with pump flow and plate scorching and seems to filter well. Great addition.

Works for what I intended it for with my Grainfather unit. Couple of dislikes for that purpose is that my basket bottom teaters on the ring and also can create a small airlock remedied by tipping kettle, but otherwise works great

Using mine in lieu of a hop spider in my Grainfather. Worked like an absolute charm! Easy to clean, and left my filter clear and free so the flow in the chiller was excellent! I wouldn’t brew an IPA or other heavily hopped beer in a GF without one.

Works fine for my Grainfather. I wish that it was a bit sturdier so it wouldn't wobble. A bent over edge around the circumference would take care of this.

I use this in my Anvil Foundry with a BIAB bag and it works great. Easier cleanup than with the malt pipe.I had to bend the legs to a "V" to raise the platform up a bit to clear the spigot. Other than that is was a great use of $20!
