        I originally ordered from SS Brewtech, but their shipping is all messed up through the USPS. I was afraid to order on Amazon fearing poor quality. Morebeer had them, shipped quickly, and they are high quality.

        easier to remove

        One small advantage I noticed with this barb is that I can wrestle it off the tubing easier than some other barbs. Others hold so tight to require slitting with a knife to remove. I'm clamping the tube around the barb anyway, so I prefer the ease of removal when I want.

        I needed some new hoses for our Blichmann 3.5 BBl system. I did not want large hose barbs as they cause more chance of large spills, since we do not care that it takes more time to empty a large vessel through 1/2" hole rather than a 1" hole. Also the yeast at the bottom of the fermenter remains undisturbed for the most part, this works very well for us.I recommend you try this sometime.. David Roesch, Crafty Canary Brewery
