You probably can. A 3/8" compression fitting would work too if you want metal. FWIW though the Duotight part that they recommend (with 1/2" BSP) works with 1/2" NPT. Those sizes are compatible.

Yes you can use sharkbite 3/8 and go from there to werever size or tread size you want.

I'm not real familiar with this 'sharkbite' connector but the ends of the wort chiller here are just copper tubing. Any connector that can seal on bare copper tubing without welding should work fine.

It will do the job But it will require a lot of water. It has a small diameter coil which will not allow as much Wort to flow as other chillers. But it is a good entry level chiller that would do the job.

It works well for me. I make 15 gallon batches.

Yes this gets my 11 gallon batches down to pitching temps in 5 minutes or less with 60° ground water.

I think this would be a bit undersized for a 10-15 gallon batch. It’s good for 5 gallons and I’m sure it would do the job for 10 gallons but it might take a while.

I brought copper fittings at Home Depot for the hose ends and just slip the 3/8 tubing from my boil kettle on the others. Cost about $6 for the fittings. Works great

Not sure about the duotights but I was able to use something that I believe was called a dishwasher fitting from Home Depot. It was a brass 3/8" compression fitting on one end with a 90 and a female garden hose fitting on the other. They work great and I can hook directly to my garden hose.

I purchased Sharkbite fittings for this to convert to NPT from Home Depot. By the time you factor in shipping they are relatively the same total cost as Kegland.
