  • 65L BrewZilla - Gen 4 - Heat Exchanger Dish (HED) 65L BrewZilla - Gen 4 - Heat Exchanger Dish (HED)

    BrewZilla Heat Exchanger Dish | HED | Gen 4 | 65L

Reduce heating time during your mash with the Gen 4 BrewZilla Redistribute recirculating wort for longer heating element exposure Improve heat distribution throughout the mash Speed up heating times with the Heat Exchanger Dish (HED) for Gen 4 BrewZillas. This optional upgrade accessory redirects the flow of wort so that it spends more time exposed to the heating elements before reaching the center drain at the bottom of the kettle and being recirculated. Due to the concave bottom and central draining hole on the Gen 4 BrewZilla, recirculating wort will pass through the malt pipe and then down through the boiler false bottom following the path of least resistance. This can cause wort to make a B-line for the drainage hole and reduce the wort's exposure to the unit's heating elements. With the HED installed, wort will be directed to the edge of the BrewZilla base and pass over the elements for a longer period and reduce the time needed to heat to your set temperature. For use with the Gen 4 65L BrewZilla. It is not compatible with any previous generations of BrewZillas or DigiBoils. The HED has been pressed into a slight concave shape to match the curvature of the boiler false bottom. Includes a longer eye bolt assembly than the one included with the false bottom. NOTE: The order of bolt to washer to nuts goes as follows. Eye bolt, washer, false bottom, washer, nut, HED, then wing nut. This is so that the eye bolt does not come completely removed when and if you clean underneath the Heat Exchanger Dish. KegLand Part Number: KL29360

Due to high demand, this item is currently out of stock. Be the first to receive your items by placing a pre-order today. We will automatically ship this to you when we receive more inventory.   Don't fear the Beast, feed the Beast! This heavy duty counterflow wort chiller will gobble up heat from your wort as it passes from kettle to fermenter so you can pitch your yeast as soon as possible. Made from passivated 304 stainless steel, The Beast has a 30 ft. wort line with 1.5" T.C. connections and a 29.5 ft. coolant line with 1/2" male BSPT connections. Tri-clamp connections offer the most sanitary way to pass wort through your heat exchanger and pairs perfectly with BrewBuilt's line of T.C. Kettles and X1 Uni Conical Fermenters. The BSP coolant connections work well with Camlock, Duotight, NPT or other BSP fittings found below. Adding a ball valve to the coolant line inlet is a great way to dial in flow for maximum cooling efficiency! When it comes to counterflow chillers, we love the coil design for its ease-of-use. Plate chillers are great for their high efficiency and compact size, but if there's too much hop matter running through them, they can quickly clog up. Transferring wort from your kettle to your fermenter is one of the critical steps in the brewing process where you don't want any hiccups. The Beast's wort line is 1/2" ID so it can withstand high amounts of hop additions without clogging! A cross bar is welded on one side of the coil with pre-drilled mounting holes allowing it to be easily installed under your work bench or mounted directly to your brewing system. Specs: Beer Line: 30 ft. long Beer Connection: 1.5" tri-clamp Coolant Line: 29.5 ft. long Coolant Connection: 1/2" BSPT Crossbar with pre-drilled mounting holes (4mm) Made from 304 stainless steel

  • Yeast Hulls - PLACEHOLDER

Yeast Hulls | For Stuck or Sluggish Ferments

Yeast Hulls are ususally the first action when you have a stuck or sluggish alcoholic or malolactic fermentation. Yeast Hulls are essentially dead yeast cells that absorb auto toxic yeast by-products that could be inhibiting your active yeast or ML culture from doing their job - finishing your fermentation! Yeast Hulls are then typically followed by Pro-Desert in the case of a stuck alcoholic fermentation or Acti Ml in the case of a stuck ML ferment. As a side note, Yeast Hulls are included in the Fermaid K mix of nutrients to help prevent problem ferments from the onset. The reason you would not use Fermaid K for most stuck ferments is that Fermaid K contains DAP. If DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) is added to the ferment past the point of metabolization by the yeast it could potentially leave an unwanted, residual flavor. Use at the rate of .5 to .9 grams per gallon. If stored in a cool, dry place, will last up to 3 years. A rough approximate of weight is 1 tsp = 2 grams. We highly recommend using a scale to weigh the product for an accurate dose. We do not recommend relying on these rough conversions for accurate dosage rates.

Importance of Mash pH Proper mash pH is critical to brewing performance and finished beer quality. CellarScience Instant Water™ formulations are designed to place mash pH into the optimal range for each beer style. Improves brewhouse efficiency by supporting optimal enzyme activity during starch conversion Shapes hop flavor and balance by influencing bitterness, smoothness, and aroma expression Enhances clarity and stability through improved protein coagulation and yeast performance With properly conditioned water, you’ll unlock better fermentation, enhanced enzyme activity, and a cleaner, more expressive finish that allows your beer’s true character to shine. Designed to work with: Reverse osmosis (RO), deionized (DI), or distilled water Each pack treats: 6 gallons (23 L) of brewing water For larger batches, add an additional 2 g per gallon Instructions  Use only with reverse osmosis (RO), deionized (DI), or distilled water. Add the full contents of this pack to 6 gallons (23 L) of brewing water before mashing. Stir until dissolved. Mash in as usual — no additional acid or salt adjustments are typically required. Proceed with your normal brewing process. Note: These salts are designed to set mash pH without acid additions. Because malt acidity varies, you may wish to verify your mash pH and make small corrections if needed, though this is rarely necessary. Dextrose is used in trace amounts as a processing aid for blend consistency and flow and does not affect fermentation or flavor.

DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.   Mosaic® and Simcoe® is a registered trademark owned by Yakima Chief Hops, LLC. The 23 mm diameter eases the corking process if using a hand corker.  23mm X 44mm, #9 x 1.75". Italy produces more wine than any country in the world and Molinas is the largest Italian cork supplier with over 1 billion corks produced annually. Molinas Cork was started over 100 years ago by Pietro Molinas on the Italian island of Sardinia. Besides its beautiful beaches and designation as one of the world's five Blue Zones, Sardinia is known for its large, government protected Cork tree forests. Today, the 4th generation of the Molinas family sustainably harvests cork from these protected trees. Compared to most cork available in the market, the bark is allowed to mature an additional year. This leads to a less porous, higher quality cork, and has less impact on the forest. Throughout the entire process from tree to finished cork, quality control is strictly monitored. Sour Belgian Blonde | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

A classic lambic that is as mild or as wild as you make it. Requires a two-step fermentation process  Includes Hallertau hops Estimated ABV: 6.5% Estimated IBUs: 7-10 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Brewed for the first time in 2010 in our parking lot at the annual July 15th Showroom Sale, we decided to experiment with another sour. This Belgian Style Blonde, destined for a Brettanomyces fermentation was born! On a whim, the boys decided to have fun with it and add 1lb of California Golden Raisins per 5 gallons with the second dose of Brettanomyces. The sugars in the raisins ferment out completely and seem to be an excellent source of food for our ‘lil wild buddy's. The end result: A classic lambic that is as mild or as wild as you make it! This is a great base recipe for a Belgian Style Blonde Ale. Great body and mouthfeel balanced with a funky delicious sour edge. So have fun with this Lambic Recipe and make it your own! Tip: Patience, patience, patience. If brewing All-Grain, try mashing higher for some added body. (We recommend 156F.) Brettanomyces loves oxygen just as much, or maybe more than Saccharomyces spread the love! Use restraint with these critters, don’t add the whole kitchen sink. Experiment with one to two cultures per batch, at intervals, and preferably with a small amount of a new food source. Patience. CA Golden Raisins are an excellent food source! (ahem, hint hint!) Don’t disturb the fermentation vessel while the pellicle is formed. The pellicle provides protection from excessive oxidation over the long aging time. Patience. Use excellent sanitary methods when working with our wild lil buddy’s to ensure a clean brewhouse. Try adding any local fruit as a food source for the bugs and wild yeasts. They love it! Patience! Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.060-65 SRM (Color Range): 4-6 IBUs: 7-10 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 6.5% Please Note: Kit does not include raisins. We recommend California Golden Raisins. Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. Derived from T-90 Nelson Sauvin™ pellet hops to perfectly replicate the aroma profile while omitting undesirable compounds found in hop vegetal matter Flavor/Aroma: Citrus, Tropical, Fruity The perfect hop: Using 100% hop-derived terpenes, Abstrax builds exact profiles to match the flavor and aroma of an exemplary lot of Nelson Sauvin™ hops Consistent results every time. Eliminates the variance of using hops that may differ by age, crop year, storage conditions, growing region, processing method or farm Replace pellet hops: 5mL is equal to roughly 5.5 oz of pellet hops, while 1 oz of Quantum is equal to 2 lbs of pellet hops Nelson Sauvin™ Quantum Brite Named for the Sauvignon Blanc grape, this triploid hop from New Zealand is sophisticated and tropical. Fruity and wine-like, Nelson Sauvin™ adds dimension to any brew with succulent notes of lychee, passionfruit, and citrus. Optimized Hop Extracts Compared to other hop-extracts, the Quantum Series tastes better, performs better, and is easier to use. It works with everything from Pils to Porters with no special handling required. Easily flowable at cool, ambient, and warm temperatures. Gone are the days of warming up your extract or scrubbing the sticky gunk out of your equipment. Compared to hops and pellets, the Quantum Series offers a 100% utilization rate and can be used at any stage of the brewing process. It cuts down on shipping and storage costs by an order of magnitude, not to mention the labor savings from not having to lug boxes around. Quantum Tastes Better The Quantum Series is an evolutionary leap forward in aroma and brewing technology. When you get down to it, nobody wants to use an extract product that makes their beer taste worse off. Extracts have taken a bad rap because they can often add more problems than they solve and, frankly, they don’t always taste the greatest. Abstrax gets it. That’s why, above all else, flavor and aroma come first with Quantum. Dosage Consider 1mL of Quantum Brite the flavor/aroma equivalent of 1 oz of T-90 pellet hops. Add after fermentation is complete, ideally at the coldest and latest point in your process, in your fermenter, keg, or bottling bucket. Or even add a drop or two to spike your finished beer in the glass. Features: 100% efficient flavor/aroma transfer Consistent from batch to batch No yield loss from absorption Quantum will not affect IBU test results and cannot cause lightstruck off-flavors Zero Undesirable Plant Compounds No Lipids No Chlorophyll Recommended storage: 40-90°F. • 30 Watt Fermentation Heating Belt 30 Watt Fermentation Heating Belt

    Heating Belt Fermentation Heater

    2 reviews

This 30W Heating Belt will gently warm your fermenter without creating major hot spots. Heating belts are often chosen over heating pads for the simplicity of adjusting the height of the belt on your fermenter to increase or decrease the heat transfer. And they're especially useful for smaller vessels where a heating pad would be simply too large. For the best results, pair the Heating Belt with a temperature controller so that heating is only provided when your fermentation drops below your set point. If you're using a fermentation chamber or other form of chilling, the temperature controller will be able to switch between heating and cooling as needed. Comes with a standard 2-prong US style 110V plug. Please disregard the example photo that shows an AU style plug. KegLand Part Number: KL01953

Beer Plate Filter Pads (0.5 Micron) - 2 Pack

    4 reviews

Clean up your beer and give it that sparkling clarity you see in commercial brews. Filtering removes yeast and dry-hop sediment, both of which can impart off flavors. It's also a great way to give your beer that extra edge in competition. This two-pack of filter pads are for use with our FIL45 series of plate filters. "Sterile" pads will provide between 0.3-0.5 Micron filtration. Please Note: These pads do not remove 100% of bacteria. Only an bsolute rated, 0.45 micron or less cartridge filter can remove all bacteria. All pad filters are rated as "Nominal" filters, meaning a small percentage of the pores in the filter are larger than the stated micron rating. Only certain styles of cartridge filters carry an "Absolute" rating, meaning that all the pores are the stated micron size or smaller.

    Chocolate Malt | Viking Malt

Adds roasted flavors and aromas with hints of dark chocolate and coffee Strong coloring value for dark beers like porters and stouts Recommended use is typically less than 10% of your grain bill 300-375 °L - Viking Malt - Viking Chocolate Malt is produced by roasting from pilsner malt. Final temperature and roasting time is somewhat lower compared to their Black Malt. The amylolytic activity of Chocolate Malt is zero. The amount of fermentable extract is rather low. Flavor of Chocolate Malt is burnt, bitter and smoky, but not as intense as Black Malt. Aromas and tastes of coffee and chocolate can be found and they are well balanced in the overall taste. Chocolate Malt is mainly included in grists for Porters and Stouts, but it can also be used for any other dark colored beers like Dark Ales due to its strong coloring value. Chocolate Malt contributes roasted flavors and aromas with hints of dark chocolate and coffee in any beer. Already with rather low dosage portions a remarkable increase in color can be found together with changes in flavor and aroma. Typical dosage rate of Chocolate Malt is normally under 10%. Bourbon Belle Brunch Stout | Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout® Clone | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    3 reviews

Inspired by Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout®, this kit combines our All Out Brunch Stout recipe with an addition of bourbon-soaked oak chips Includes Nugget and Willamette hops Estimated ABV: 7.5% Estimated IBUs: 60 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Bourbon Belle takes the beautifully complex flavor of Brunch Stout and adds a charming southern drawl. Similar to "All Out", this recipe combines a variety of dark malts, cacao nibs, and ground coffee for a remarakably rich flavor profile, and then adds a little giddy-up with an addition of bourbon-soaked oak chips. The oak chips are added to simulate the barrel-aging process used for making Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout®, or "KBS". You wouldn't expect a foal to win the Triple-Crown, so practice patience when brewing Bourbon Belle. We recommend a conditioning period of 2 to 6 months to allow this beer to fully mature before entering the race. Please note: this recipe calls for 2 oz of Kona and Sumatra coffee grounds and 1 cup of Kentucky Bourbon, which are not included in the kit. Drakes Brewing IPA | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Extract

    16 reviews

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Drakes Brewing Company Clean, crisp malt character backed by six hop additions Includes Cascade, Magnum, and Columbus hops Estimated ABV: 7% Estimated IBUs: 51-55 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Rodger Davis former brewer of Drakes Brewing Co., San Leandro, California. Another brewer that got his start at home - Rodger has been a homebrewer since 1991, and a commercial brewer since 1996. After taking the Eight - week course at Siebel, Rodger was brewing at a few places in the Bay Area until he settled down at Drakes in 2002. Since then he has been keeping the awards and praises rolling into Drakes with their flagship IPA, which took Gold in 2002 at the Great American Beer Festival. Drakes Brewing has been around since 1989, and is one of the San Francisco Bay Area's oldest breweries. Their attention to detail and their commitment to making great beer is evident in each batch that rolls out of the brewery. Definitely another 'must' for any beer fan visiting the Bay Area. Until then, find out more about Drake's at www.drinkdrakes.com. One of the best examples of a West Coast IPA that you can find on the market. It has a clean, crisp malt character backed by tons of hops - 6 additions in all! Somehow, the hops aren't too over the top and don't squash the malt as one might think from just looking at the recipe. This IPA is one that we have been asked to clone over the years, and we are excited to offer it straight from the brewers log book. Not over the top like some IPA's can be, Drakes is one beer to search for. Rodger recommends using White Labs California Yeast, WLP001. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.065-69 SRM (Color Range): 11 IBUs: 51-55 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 7% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”.  For more info, click on the recommended yeast(s) below in the “You Might Also Need” section below. All included steeping grains will come milled.   Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME) MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

  • Wine Kit - VineCo - Signature Series - Cabernet Sauvignon, California (Includes Skins) Wine Kit - VineCo - Signature Series - Cabernet Sauvignon, California (Includes Skins)

California Cabernet Sauvignon Wine Making Kit - VineCo Signature Series™

    2 reviews

Californian Cabernet Sauvignon ages beautiful and will be a favorite for any red wine enthusiast This will be what you want on the table when steak is on the dinner menu Flavors of dark berry fruit, spice, and vanilla Full-bodied and dry, 14% ABV Whip up a batch in 30 mins or less! Yields 6 gallons (2 cases) of finished wine in 6-8 weeks Premium kit includes grape skins for an authentic wine making experience Bottle labels included for a professional finish The world’s superlative winemaking grape, Cabernet Sauvignon is capable of producing the most complex, well-balanced, and lasting red wines you’ll ever come across. As one of the most tannic grapes used in winemaking, Cabernet Sauvignon has long been misunderstood as a wine that required ageing in order for it to develop and soften. But after decades of research, growers have learned to identify when the grapes are ready to be harvested based on the tannic ripeness, rather than sugar content alone. Although these wines are ideal candidates for ageing—and will develop beautifully when laid down—it is well within reach for winemakers to produce excellent, structured Cabernet Sauvignons that are well-enjoyed while they’re still young. Descended from Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, this relatively young grape is believed to have sprouted up from a chance crossing in the 17th century. Regardless, Cabernet Sauvignon is now the most widely planted wine grape in the world. From Bordeaux by way of California, Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys the same status and adoration in the grape growing regions of the Golden State as it does back home in France. The grapes grown in California tend to be more fruit-forward and delicate, with deep dark fruit notes of blueberry and blackberry and hints of mint and eucalyptus. Our California Cabernet Sauvignon displays layer upon layer of dark berry fruit with notes of spice and vanilla. A well structured red wine with plush tannins and a dry finish. This full-bodied red is heavy on the oak character, with a sturdy alcohol level of 14%. The Signature Series™ Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most satisfying kits to make thanks to the inclusion of grape skins. You’ll mirror the professional vintner process of “punching the cap”, which makes your winemaking adventure even more hands on. VineCo’s jammy skin packs are much more expressive than dried grape skins, imparting more character from the grapes and boosting tannin structure in the finished wine. High quality American oak cubes are used in the final aging process of the California Cabernet kit. One of the reasons oak has always been used to age wine is the slow release of delicious, complex compounds that complement the wines flavor. Oak cubes have more depth of flavor than chips or powder and slowly release compounds like furfural (sweet, caramel like), lignins (vanillin, spice, smoke), and lactones (classic oak flavor). American oak in particular is known to deliver aromatic sweetness, vanillin, and an extra helping of classic oak flavor that some Californian Cabs are famous for. The VineCo Signature Cabernet Sauvignon is a must for any red wine lover. Add a few bottles to your cellar and revisit over the months and years to see just how much the wine can develop. If you want something to pair well with a char-grilled steak, look no further than this bold, assertive varietal. Cabernet Sauvignon, California Dark berry fruit, notes of spice and vanilla with plush tannins Sweetness: Dry Oak: Heavy Body: Full ABV: 14% Kit Volume: 14 L Approximate Yield: 23 L Ready to bottle in 6-8 weeks Grape skins included Bottle labels included

WLP550 is ideal for many classic Belgian styles including saisons, witbiers, blondes and browns Very expressive strain that produces phenol-forward flavors and aromas reminiscent of clove, allspice and peppercorns PurePitch® Next Generation offers a precise cell count across all strains so you can calculate the exact pitch rate you need for every batch Scan the barcode on the back of the package and enter your wort stats into the Pitch Rate Calculator White Labs Yeast has been producing high-quality brewer's yeast since 1995 and continues to raise the bar in the art of fermentation Don't need a full package? Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch! WLP550 Belgian ale yeast is a wonderful overall strain for classic Belgian ales. Saisons, Belgian Ales, Belgian Reds, Belgian Browns, and White beers are just a few of the classic Belgian beer styles that can be created with this yeast strain. Phenolic and spicy flavors dominate the profile, with less fruitiness than WLP50. PurePitch® Next Generation—now with more yeast, get a foolproof fermentation without a starter! Just twist the cap & pitch! Why PurePitch Next Gen versus other options? Typically yeast manufacturers use a range for how many yeast cells are going into each package. This can vary widely, especially from strain to strain. Next Gen offers a far more precise cell count across all strains allowing you to use the Whitelabs exclusive pitch calculator. Simply scan the barcode on the back of each package to be taken to their online calculator. Enter the volume, strength, and pitching temperature of the wort you are fermenting and the calculator tells you exactly how much yeast to pitch. You will be fermenting like a professional brewer, using the same concentration of yeast every time and enjoying more consistent results. Don't need a full package? Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch. Whitelabs has also increased the viability (the number of living cells in the package) over the shelf life of the yeast. Next Gen strains are grown in their unique, small-batch reactors to assure freshness and then packaged in a special film that allows for off-gassing, assuring that their viability is absolutely industry leading. Attenuation: 78-85% Flocculation: Medium Alcohol Tolerance: 10-15% ABV Optimum Fermentation Temp: 68-78°F Cell Count: 150 Billion For best results we always recommend ordering an ice pack with your liquid yeast. Please Note: When choosing an ice pack option beware that the liquid yeast will not arrive cold even when shipped together. Ice packs and insulated mailing options are designed to keep the yeast colder for longer during shipment, but they will not ensure that your yeast arrives cold. We will not replace liquid yeast that arrives warm. During warmer months we strongly recommend you choose dry yeast.

  • SmartRef Digital Refractometer by Anton Paar SmartRef Digital Refractometer by Anton Paar

SmartRef Digital Refractometer | Anton Paar

    4 reviews

MoreBeer!'s Favorite SmartRef Benefits: Only refractometer we know of that has alcohol correction built in. Gives an accurate reading during fermentation when an original reading is taken Only requires the smallest of samples Dual purpose: Can be used in the field to measure sugar content of grapes Costs less than the Anton Paar EasyDens. EasyDens gives accurate readings at any point during fermentation without the need for an original reading. Our Take: The SmartRef is a very smart digital refractometer. Unlike other refractometers on the market, it will automatically correct for alcohol during fermentation (currently only in beer) and give you an accurate reading. In order for the SmartRef to make the required adjustments for alcohol, it is required that you take an original reading before fermentation. This is a key difference from the Anton Paar EasyDens. With the EasyDens you can take a reading at any point during fermentation without the need of an original reading. Does that feature make the EasyDens worth the extra money? That is up to you of course, but sometimes in brewing we forget to take an initial reading on brew day. When used together the SmartRef and EasyDens allow for some very unique measurements like the ability to know the original gravity of a beer even without an original reading. To learn more about using these meters together, See related product. SmartRef Features: Wide measuring range from 0 to 85 °Brix (0 to 62.7 °P) Accuracy of 0.2 °Brix (0.2 °P) Built-in wort and alcohol correction for beer that is fully configurable Quick readings – results in under 2 seconds Automatic temperature compensation (ATC) Small sample volume requirement (0.4 mL) Free iOS/Android app Record and share readings from the ap Use in conjunction with the EasyDens to determine ABV, ABW, OG, FG, & Real Extract in finished beer The SmartRef Digital Refractometer by Anton Paar is a portable smart pocket device suitable for a wide range of requirements. The SmartGuide+, as a feature in the mobile app, automatically checks any errors of ambient light, impurity, and sample behavior during measurement for you. The device offers more than 15 different measurement units with automatic temperature compensation. Depending on your need, SmartRef enables you to measure the extract content of your beer, the sugar content in wine, the sweetness of fruits and vegetables, the moisture of honey, the salt content of your aquarium or pool, and much more. Smart Technology for Consistent Results The SmartRef portable refractometer is used in combination with a free mobile app for Android and iOS via Bluetooth Low Energy and enables intelligent handling of the measurement results. The app permits easy storage, visualization, management, and sharing of measurement data. SmartGuide+ detects and helps eliminate measurement problems through high ambient light detection, continuous checking of prism and sample condition, and more. In addition to the quick measurement mode, measurements in continuous mode allow a more detailed understanding of the samples’ properties. Over-the-air updates keep your digital refractometer up-to-date with the latest features. SmartRef Measurement Details The SmartRef refractometer measures the refractive index of fluids. This allows retrieval of relevant sample properties in a wide variety of applications. Fast temperature stabilization and automatic temperature compensation for measurement results make additional calculations and correction tables obsolete. The unit has an IP6 rating and an easy-to-clean stainless steel sample well. SmartRef supports a one-point zero adjustment with distilled water and requires only a few drops of sample (0.4 mL). SmartRef displays results in under two seconds and has a measurement range of 0 °Brix to 85 °Brix with an accuracy of 0.2 °Brix. High Variety of Measurement Applications Brix refractometer: For wine, juice, honey, sauces, jams, fruits, vegetables, and maple syrup. The flavor emphasis of this beer rests squarely on the synergy of maltiness, dark roasted malts, and oat flavor Includes Northern Brewer and British Kent Goldings hops Estimated ABV: 5.7% Estimated IBUs: 38-42 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Our Oatmeal Stout is loaded to the brim with malt! A helping of Flaked Oats give this brew a smooth, almost slick, mouthfeel, while three different dark malts—Chocolate, Black Patent, and Roasted Barlery—combine for a very complex roast flavor. A lower bittering rate from a moddest hop addition allows the flavor emphasis to rest squarely on the synergy of maltiness, dark roasted malts, and oat flavor. Oatmeal Stout is one of our most consistently well-reviewed kits and comes highly recommended for anyone who appreciates a dark, roasty beer. • 35L BrewZilla - Gen 4.1 - 110-120V 35L BrewZilla - Gen 4.1 - 110-120V

    BrewZilla All Grain Brewing System | Gen 4.1 | Integrated Pump | Includes Wort Chiller | WiFi | Bluetooth | RAPT | 35L | 9.25G | 110V

Elevate your brewing game with the Gen 4 BrewZilla. This cutting-edge system combines innovative features like wireless connectivity via WiFi & Bluetooth, allowing you to control and monitor your brew day, ensuring precision, convenience, and exceptional beer batch after batch! WiFi / Bluetooth enabled RAPT Controller tracks your brewday and automatically uploads detailed information to the RAPT portal The top mounted RAPT Controller can be tilted upward for easy viewing, or detached from the unit to mount it on the wall or placed on your bench Mirror polished dome shaped bottom with center drain -- get every last bit of wort into your fermenter while the perforated bottom screen filters out 95% of hot break and hop matter Make larger batches or higher gravity beers! BrewZilla offers the largest malt pipe capacity for units in its size range, and the Gen 4 unit has a 30% larger malt pipe compared to the previous generation Perforated bottom on the newly designed malt pipe allows for improved mash recirculation flow without sacrificing efficiency Element power percentage can be adjusted via the RAPT Controller. Go full power to heat up quickly, or dial it down so you don't overshoot your strike water temp The built-in pump is plumbed to both the recirculation and arm and the bottom ball valve. Recirculate wort during your mash, then close the recirculation valve and pump wort to your fermenter via the bottom valve Pair with the RAPT-enabled Bluetooth Thermometer, allowing your BrewZilla to calculate a core mash temperature reading and more accurately control temperatures and mash steps More RAPT-enabled accessories are coming, and future firmware updates can be downloaded to the RAPT Controller itself over the internet WiFi/Bluetooth Enabled RAPT Controller The RAPT Controller is mounted to the top of the boiler body, allowing for easy operation when you have the unit set on the ground. The controller can be tilted upwards to give you an even better view, or it can be removed from the BrewZilla entirely if you'd prefer to mount the controller on your wall or lay it down on a workbench. From the controller, you'll orchestrate your entire brew day. Program mash steps, dial in element power, and operate the integrated pump all from one screen. But the RAPT Controller is much more than a beautiful, full-color display switch board. Once synced to the RAPT Portal, you'll be able to track, record and monitor your brews online. No need for handwriting notes or punching brew day details into your phone -- all of the data from your brew is automatically logged to your portal profile. This information doesn't just include your mash profile; it also captures detailed information about your element power and pump activity, opening the door for very precise repeatability. And the RAPT Portal isn't just a digital archive for your brew days. With your BrewZilla powered on, you can control your brewery from virtually anywhere using your phone's web browser. Not sure when you'll be home from work or your kid's ball game going into extra innings? No problem! Before you head out, simply log into the RAPT Portal from your phone and tell the BrewZilla to start heating your strike water. Along with remote control, the portal enables you to program alarms and push notifications for all of your boil additions. We've all been caught up with a side task and failed to throw in that yeast nutrient or clarifying agent at the end of the boil, but the BrewZilla has the back of even the most forgetful brewer! But wait, there's more! In addition to WiFi connectivity, the RAPT Controller is also a Bluetooth gateway device. KegLand is currently developing various Bluetooth devices such as the Bluetooth Beacon Thermometer and other sensors which will be compatible with your brewery upon release. The RAPT Controller is able to receive information from Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices, adjusting its processes based on this new stream of information while simultaneously logging it to your RAPT Portal. With the Bluetooth Beacon Thermometer, for example, you'll be able to feed temperature readings from the top of your mash bed to the controller. The controller will then compare this reading with the main temp probe reading at the base of the kettle and adjust element cycling based on these combined readings. Finally, the RAPT Controller WiFi connectivity allows you to update the controller's firmware with a single click. Take advantage of new features and accessories as soon as they become available by simply keeping your BrewZilla connected to your local WiFi network. And again, the WiFi is already built-in! No need to come back for an expensive add-on accessory down the road. High Capacity Malt Pipe With an approximately 23.5 lb capacity, the BrewZilla can mash nearly 50% more grain than similar sized models of the Anvil Foundry and Grainfather G30. If you want to fill your fermenter with more than a 5-gallon batch worth of wort, or brew the highest gravity beer recipes, the BrewZilla is the brewhouse for the job. And the included malt pipe is just the beginning. If you want to expand your brewery's grain capacity even further, KegLand makes Boiler Extension Kits and Extended Malt Pipes for that very purpose. The malt pipe features a perforated section at the bottom which improves mash recirculation flow without sacrificing efficiency. Concave Base with Center Draining Leave no wort behind! The concave base with center drain means you'll be able to extract every last drop of wort to your fermenter. If you've brewed in a traditional flat bottom kettle, this center drain may be a bit perplexing at first. Many brewers are used to whirlpooling after the boil to pull hop matter into the center of the kettle, then transfer out using a pick-up tube that pulls from the kettle wall in order to avoid sucking up the solids. But fear not! One of the key features of the BrewZilla is the false bottom protection screen. This screen avoids the need for doing a whirlpool, filtering wort as it transfers and blocking more than 95% of hops and hot break from getting sucked into the pump. This not only prevents blocked pump issues, it also increases the efficiency of your brewhouse by eliminating kettle loss from wort that may have otherwise been left behind. Ultra Low Watt Density Elements The concave base on the BrewZilla also allowed for larger heating elements with significantly lower watt density than other breweries. When a lot of energy is coming off of a small element, the local temperature near the element can be so high that it scorches the wort and causes caramelization. Lower watt density essentially means you can produce lighter color beers that would otherwise have fallen victim to caramelization effect. It also reduces that chance of boilovers and reduces stress on the elements which extends their life expectancy. Easy Access Built-In Pump The built-in pump allows you to recirculate your wort during the mash for improved efficiency and more even temperature distribution. But it can also be used to transfer your wort from kettle to fermenter rather than relying on a gravity feed, and with the optional CIP Rotar, you can used the pump to clean your BrewZilla (or fermenter) after every use. During your brew day you'll be able to control the pump from the RAPT Controller with a dedicated button for turning the pump on and off. Another feature you'll find on the controller is adjusting the pump flow. This doesn't control the actual volume of the flow (you can do that from the ball valve located on the recirculation arm), but rather cycles the pump on and off automatically based on your setting. At 100%, the pump remains on continuously. But at 80%, the pump will cycle to be on 80% of the time and off 20% of the time. This may not be a feature that every brewer thinks they need, but it's an excellent way to avoid running the pump dry accidentally, as the time the pump is off allows recirculating wort to filter through the grain bed and back into the pump inlet. If you flip over the boiler, you'll find the magnetic drive pump and all the plumbing is right at your fingertips. This means you don't have to disassemble the base in order to access the pump for cleaning or maintenance if required. It also means the plumbing can be changed more easily too. For instance, the unit comes as standard with the plumbing from the pump feeding both the recirculation arm and the transfer valve, but you change this so the tap outlet bypasses the pump if you prefer. MoreBeer!'s Final Word We've been selling all-in-one brewing systems ever since they first hit the market, and we have to say that the Gen 4 BrewZilla is not only the most feature-packed unit ever made, it's also offered at an incredibly competitive price point when compared to other systems. You'll get all of the cutting edge Bluetooth technology you'd get with the Grainfather and at an exceptionally lower price tag. Plus, you get the WiFi capabilities as standard, rather than as a $100 add-on accessory. When it comes to mash recirculation, that's yet another built-in feature on the BrewZilla, and the pump can also be used for transferring and CIP cleaning. The Foundry has a great starting price, but if you want to unlock its full potential, you'll need to spend another $100 for the recirculation pump kit. What's more, no other system in the same 'weight class' has the same grain capacity. And if the standard capacity isn't quite enough, the BrewZilla can be easily upgraded with a Boiler Body Extension Kit and Extended Malt Pipe. When you purchase the BrewZilla, you can feel confident that you're investing in a top shelf system and all of the critical features you're expecting will be included. Perfect for Distillation If you want to expand your lineup of homemade libations to offer Spirits in addition to Ales & Lagers, the BrewZilla makes an excellent pot still! Add the Distillation Lid upgrade and pair it with an AlcoEngine Copper Reflux Condenser or Copper Pot Still Top. AlcoEngine Stills have been selling on the home market for years and offer some of the most affordable, beginner-friendly stills you'll find. KegLand Part Number: KL3276 Please note: due to patent restrictions in the United States, the malt pipe has been redesigned with one set of bottom feet. This model does not include the "two stage" malt pipe as advertised by KegLand and featured in previous MoreBeer! YouTube videos. Please Note: When removing the malt pipe to drain after mashing, it is important to do so slowly rather than in one swift pull. If the malt pipe is removed all at once when it is full of wort, it is possible for the draining wort to spray out and over the rim of the brewery through the perforated bottom. Remove the malt pipe slowly so that some of the wort can drain out before it is fully removed and set on its bottom feet. This can be done by hand on the 35L unit, but for the 65L and 100L units we highly recommend using the Pulley System for removing the malt pipe. Warning: Do not engage the adjustable lid clamps when brewing with the BrewZilla's standard glass lid. The clamps are only intended to be used with distillation lids or other metal accessories. With too much tension, it is possible for the lid clamps to break the glass lid when engaged. Warning: If you are going to use an extension cord with the BrewZilla, you must ensure that the cord is the correct gauge and properly rated to suit the power requirements of your brewery. See the reference chart below for the recommended gauge based on your unit and the length of cord you wish to use.   35L (110V) 35L (220V) 65L (220V) 100L (220V) 10 ft. 14 Gauge 14 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 25 ft. 14 Gauge 14 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 50 ft. 12 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 8 Gauge   RAPT Gen 4 BrewZilla | User Manual

MiniMesh Strainer for Vintage Shop PET Carboys & FerMonsters

    1 review

The MiniMesh is perfect for adding dry hops to your beer! Keep your dry hopping on a precise schedule by adding them to this mesh sleeve inside the PET Carboy, then easily pull them out after the desired contact time. This mesh sleeve is custom made for the Vintage Shop PET Carboy. The plastic ring sits inside the neck of the fermenter with room for a #10 stopper to be inserted for an airtight seal. The ring actually holds onto the neck of the carboy so there's no risk of the mesh sleeve falling into the carboy. Made from food grade materials, the #50 mesh will not affect the flavor of the beer or wine, and is temperature rated to 122°F. Designed for multiple uses, the MiniMesh can be cleaned in the dishwasher and sanitized with the sanitizer of your choice. For FerMonster users, the MiniMesh and MonsterMesh can be used simultaneously. The MonsterMesh will sit on the neck of the carboy, and the MiniMesh can be inserted through the stopper hole in the lid. This way you can have two different infusions starting or stopping at different times.

  • Dual Gauge Oxygen Regulator - For Disposable Tanks Dual Gauge Oxygen Regulator - For Disposable Tanks

Dual Gauge Oxygen Regulator for Disposable Tanks

Infusing your wort with pure oxygen immediately before pitching yeast is the best way to get your fermentation started faster and finished cleaner. This dual gauge oxygen regulator is compatible with standard disposable O2 tanks and provides a higher level of control when pumping oxygen into your wort. Using the adjustment knob, you can dial in the psi of the gas leaving the tank, leading to more consistent results. We recommend oxygenating wort using a 0.5 micron diffusion stone. Instructions:  Attach the regulator to your oxygen tank Turn the pressure up to 10-20 psi Immerse diffusion stone in wort for 1-2 minutes Please note: your wort must be chilled to yeast pitching temperature before adding oxygen. It is much more difficult for oxygen to dissolve into solution when the wort is still warm. Kegland Part number: KL02165
